RIGA - This year Latvian universities have received the largest number of applicants in the past years, according to estimates drawn by LETA.
According to information published on Latvija.lv portal, 10,296 unique applications were submitted for studies in one of Latvia's 12 higher education institutions, and 9,226 applications have been approved. Thus, the number of applications has been the highest one in the past eight years and the number of approved student applications has been the highest since 2013.
