Latvian soldiers to take part in Tobruq Legacy 2020 exercise in Lithuania

RIGA - From today until September 25, soldiers and home guards of the National Armed Forces will participate in the international military air defense training Tobruq Legacy 2020 in Lithuania, LETA was informed by the Press Department of the Ministry of Defense.

The aim of the training is to improve Baltic combat capabilities within the framework of the NATO integrated system, as well as to train the ability to conduct air defense operations.

More than 30 soldiers and home guards from the Air Force Air Defense Division, the Air Surveillance Squadron and the 17th Battle Support Battalion of the Home Guard will take part in the training.

More than 750 participants from the USA, the Czech Republic, France, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany will take part in the Tobruq Legacy 2020 military exercise in Lithuania.
