Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis has been publicly praised by the country’s president, Raimonds Vejonis, on national television.
Kucinskis replaced former Latvian PM, Laimdota Straujuma, in February 2016 and while Vejonis said two months in office is too short a period to fully assess Kucinskis’ performance so far, he said the Greens/Farmers’ party member has “lived up to expectations”.
He added that Kucinskis is also excelling at making Latvia’s coalition government to work cohesively.
