Latvian president calls for more effective fight against shadow economy

RIGA - The policies used to combat the shadow economy have failed to yield the desired result so far, Latvian President Raimonds Vejonis said during the meeting with Economics Minister Dana Reizniece-Ozola (Greens/Farmers). The economic growth figures in the first quarter of this year are unsatisfactory, he said.
