Latvian PM shares Lithuania’s worries about new Belarusian Nuclear Plant

VILNIUS - Belarusian plans to build a new nuclear plant are causing widespread worries in neighouring countries.  Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis on Thursday March 3 pledged to support Lithuania on the issue of safety of the Astravyets nuclear power plant under construction in Belarus. “I promised to the Lithuanian prime minister during the meeting that Latvia would express its support for Lithuania in all formats where this issue is touched upon,” he told reporters in Vilnius after meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart, Algirdas Butkevicius. ...
