RIGA - Following recommendations of epidemiologists to work remotely if possible, the Latvian parliament starting from October 1 will return to its e-Saeima electronic platform, LETA learned from parliament secretary Andrejs Klementjevs (Harmony).

The Saeima presidium agreed that the nearest parliament meeting will be held partly remotely as parliament groups will work in separate rooms as it was the practice during the state of emergency in spring.

The presidium also will ask the Health Ministry and the Center for Disease Prevention and Control to provide recommendations on the parliament's work in the future.
