Latvian former health minister puts down his MP mandate

Former Latvian health minister Guntis Belevics has put down his lawmaker’s mandate, he confirmed in a conversation with LETA. Belevics will still be a Saeima member until a mandate of a new lawmaker is approved. As reported, Guntis Belevics resigned as health minister earlier on June 10, and Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis accepted resignation because the health minister had lied to him about jumping the line to get a minor surgery.
