RIGA - Russia's missile strikes on Kyiv have not harmed any Latvian diplomats and all of them are safe, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics (New Unity) informed on the social media.

"We are in touch with the Latvian Embassy in Kyiv, our diplomats have not suffered in the missile strike and are safe. Thanks to the colleagues for their work and resilience," the minister tweeted.

LETA was told at the Foreign Ministry that the ministry has no information that any Latvian citizens have suffered in the missile attacks.

As reported, the center of Kyiv on Monday morning was hit by several explosions, apparently caused by Russian missile strikes. Several people were killed or injured in these attacks.

Last night, the Russian army launched missile strikes on residential buildings in Zaporizhia, killing 13 and injuring 89 people, Ukrainian authorities informed.
