The Latvian Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) in the first half of 2016 fined 77 state officials for varying violations, a collective value of 6,845 euros, indicates data published by KNAB on its performance between Jan. 1 and June 30.
KNAB spokeswoman Laura Dusa informed BNS that during the same period last year 56 state officials were penalised a total of 6,845 euros.
