Latvian corruption watchdog imposes fines on 77 state officials in H1

The Latvian Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) in the first half of 2016 fined 77 state officials for varying violations, a collective value of 6,845 euros, indicates data published by KNAB on its performance between Jan. 1 and June 30. KNAB spokeswoman Laura Dusa informed BNS that during the same period last year 56 state officials were penalised a total of 6,845 euros.
