Latvian classical conductor Nelsons and Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra earn Grammy nomination

RIGA - Latvian classical conductor Andris Nelsons and The Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra (Gewandhausorchester) have been nominated for a Grammy, according to information posted on the Grammy Awards website. 

Nelsons and the German orchestra have earned the nod in the category Best Contemporary Classical Composition for a recording of The Wrath of God, a score by Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina. 

According to information available in LETA Archive, Nelsons has been nominated for Grammy Awards trice in the past and have won the award all three times.
