Latvian businessmen have lowest opinion of Finance Minister Janis Reirs - LCCI survey

RIGA - A recent survey of Latvia's businessmen carried out by the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has found that local businessmen have the highest opinion of Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics (New Unity), while Finance Minister Janis Reirs (New Unity) is rated last, the LCCI informed LETA.

On a scale of one to ten, Reirs' performance is rated at 3.66.

Justice Minister Janis Bordans' (Conservatives) performance is rated at 3.74, and Health Minister Daniels Pavluts' (AP) performances is rated at 3.79.

Rinkevics' performance is rated the highest with an average mark of 5.98.

The other highest-rated ministers include Defense Minister Artis Pabriks (Development/For), whose performance has been rated at 5.84, and Culture Minister Nauris Puntulis (National Alliance) with a rating of 5.02.

The government's overall rating is 4.29, and that of Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) is 4.47, which makes him the seventh highest-rated minister.

The survey was conducted by LCCI in cooperation with the research center SKDS from February 28 to March 17 by interviewing 750 entrepreneurs.
