INNSBRUCK, Austria - It has been a glorious few days for Latvia’s athletes at this year’s International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation’s BMW World Championships.
On Feb. 19, Latvia’s Martins Dukurs stormed to victory in this year’s Skeleton World Championships. With the win, Dukurs has become the first ever skeleton slider to win four World Championships.
Russia’s Alexander Tretyakov and South Korea’s Sungbin Yun both finished in overall second place with the exact same time - 1.13 seconds behind Dukurs.
