VILNIUS - The presidents of Latvia, Poland and Romania are expected to come to Kaunas on Friday at Gitanas Nauseda's invitation, the Lithuanian president's office said on Tuesday.
The four presidents are scheduled to meet in Lithuania's second-biggest city to discuss defense issues and the strengthening of NATO's eastern flank.
The leaders are also to take part in The Idea of Europe, an international symposium hosted by Vytautas Magnus University, to share their visions for the future of Europe.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen are expected to address the symposium via a video link.
The presidents' visit to Kaunas will highlight the city's status as European Capital of Culture 2022, according to the press release.
