Latvia to receive Stinger air-defense systems

The Latvian National Armed Forces in the second part of this summer plan to receive the Stinger air-defense systems purchased from Denmark, the Defense Ministry said. Chief of Defense Leonids Kalnins said earlier that the purchase has been successful from the financial point of view, but he did not reveal the sum. As reported, last summer Latvia signed an agreement with the Danish armed forces on purchase of Stinger air-defense systems.
