RIGA - Considering the crimes committed by the Russian armed forces in Ukraine, Latvia will narrow diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics (New Unity) said on Twitter.
The minister said that specific decisions would be announced once internal procedures are completed.
The Foreign Ministry's press secretary Janis Bekeris told LETA that the ministry would not give more detailed comments before the decisions are taken.
Latvia's decision comes after reports that 330 to 340 civilians, brutally killed by Russian troops, have been buried in the Ukrainian town of Bucha after it was liberated from the occupying forces.
