Latvia’s Foreign Minister, Edgars Rinkevics, confirmed during a Latvian parliamentary session on January 26, that the country will pursue its policy of not recognising the Russian Federation’s annexation of Crimea.
"Latvia will be unrelenting in its pursuit of a policy of non-recognition of the illegitimate and illegal annexation of Crimea - Crimea is Ukraine,” said Rinkevics. “Latvia's support for Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity and the reform process will be unwavering.”
