Latvia’s centenary celebrations officially commenced in May 2017, and plan to run until 2021. The Baltic Times caught up with Linda Pavluta, who has worked in the European Integration Bureau, was responsible for Latvia’s accession to the EU, and now heads the office of Latvia 100 at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia. The lawyer by profession gave an overview of what is planned for Latvia 100 celebrations, to which 22.3m Euros has been allocated from the state budget until 2019.
