During the Covid-19 crisis, Latvia needs to expand the range of income support recipients, the European Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis said.
According to Dombrovskis, the Commission welcomes Latvia's timely and effective measures to stem the spread of the virus. At the same time, he emphasized that in the case of Latvia, special attention must paid to allocation of more financial and human resources to the healthcare sector, thus strengthening its sustainability.
