Latvia is the only EU Member State where most enterprises are run by women managers, according to the latest Eurostat data reflecting the situation in 2014.
The Eurostat survey shows that women hold top managerial positions in 53 per cent of Latvian companies with ten or more employees. In Bulgaria and Poland, the share companies run by women managers is 44, in Ireland 43 per cent, in Estonia 42 per cent, in Lithuania, Hungary and Romania 41 per cent and in France and Sweden 40 per cent.
