Latvia’s Ventspils port boasts rise in cargo turnover

The terminals, based in the northwestern Latvian port of Ventspils, reloaded 2.5 million tons of cargo in January this year, which is a growth of 40 per cent, compared to January 2016. The port’s spokeswoman, Inga Ievina, said the first month of 2017 had been good at the port. Handling of cargo, coal, oil products, and cast iron had increased in January this year, she said.
