Latvia’s ruling coalition agrees to put teachers’ wage reform before govt

The council of the ruling coalition parties today agreed to send to the government for review the draft model of a new pay system for teachers. "We agreed that the draft model created by (Education and Science Minister Karlis) Sadurskis (Unity) should be forwarded to the Cabinet of Ministers for further review,” Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis (Greens/Farmers) told the press after the meeting of the ruling parties.
