RIGA - Laima, the largest sweets maker in Latvia, has doubled its exports to the United States in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year, the company said.
So far this year Laima has exported to the US 140 tons of sweets compared to 70 tons in 2014. This growth is the result of two years of hard work to expand sale of Laima’s products from duty-free stores to supermarkets and to start making private label products for customers in the US.
