Klaipeda University to explore shipwrecks in Estonian waters

Klaipeda University of Lithuania is set to start explorations of wrecked ships of Lithuanian origin that have sunken in Estonian waters. The Estonian Foreign Ministry has issued permission to Klaipeda University to conduct maritime archaeological exploration in Estonian waters from abroad the vessel Brabander until Oct. 6. Spokespeople for the Estonian Heritage Board said Lithuanians would survey and chart military and commercial vessels connected with Lithuania that have sunken in Estonian waters.
