Klaipeda port expects funds for power cable across Curonian Spit

Lithuania's Klaipeda port on the Baltic Sea is expecting assistance from the ministries of Transport and Energy in the form of financing for replacement of a high-voltage power line across the Curonian Spit with a submarine electricity cable, which is estimated at about 11 million euros. Replacement of the aerial line with a cable was first discussed two years ago, however, the financing issue has not yet been solved.
