The Traditional Sea Festival has taken place in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda amid tightened safety requirements.
No opening time has been announced and the programme has been scaled down because of coronavirus concerns.
Klaipėda Mayor Vytautas Grub-liauskas said the organisers had to scrap some traditional events that attract large crowds of people, such as a march of the maritime community, big concerts, and fountain and firework shows.
A Salute of Nations marked the start of the festival instead of the traditional march along the city’s streets.
The festival tradition dates back to August 12, 1934.
