Klaipeda hosts scaled-down Sea Festival amid tightened safety rules

The Traditional Sea Festival has taken place in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda amid tightened safety requirements. No opening time has been announced and the programme has been scaled down because of coronavirus concerns. Klaipėda Mayor Vytautas Grub-liauskas said the organisers had to scrap some traditional events that attract large crowds of people, such as a march of the maritime community, big concerts, and fountain and firework shows.
