Karins tests positive for Covid-19, will continue to work remotely this week

RIGA - After testing positive for Covid-19, Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) will be working remotely this week, according to Karins' post on Twitter.

Karins said that he was feeling well, however, following his physician's advice, he would continue working remotely this week.

"I urge everyone to be cautious and observe epidemiological safety measures to protect yourself and your fellow human beings from contracting Covid-19," Karins said.

As reported, Latvia confirmed 908 new Covid-19 on Tuesday, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control informed.

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population rose from 404.7 to 420.3. Cumulative seven-day Covid-19 incidence rose from 226.8 to 238.7 cases per 100,000 population.
