Kadri Lindpere becomes head of Estonian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association

TALLINN – Kadri Lindpere has taken over as the managing director of the Estonian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EstVCA) as of May.

The objectives of Lindpere as the new managing director of EstVCA are good cooperation with the government, continuous growth of the investment funds market to become part of the New Nordic, and developing the ecosystem of startups and growth companies, the association said. 

Lindpere said that although the world economy is experiencing troubled times, also at present countries are competing with each other to preserve and create an innovative business environment facilitating the development of the economy. She added that Estonia possesses multiple advantages in this, and it is supported by the market for private and venture capital funds brought together by EstVCA.      

Lindpere has been active in the field of business development and communication for 15 years and she has been connected with the private and venture capital market since 2017, when she supported the management of EstVCA in communication and took part in developing Estonian-language terminology for the field.

Before joining EstVCA team, Lindpere led the marketing and communication field in PwC Estonia and prior to that, from 2008 to 2019, she was head of the same field at the leading Baltic law firm Ellex Raidla. From 2003-2008 she worked as business development and communications lead at real estate group Arco Vara, managing the communication of the company's IPO process in 2008.

EstVCA, the representative body of Estonian private equity and venture capital industry, was established in 2009. The aim of EstVCA is to develop a sustainable and attractive ecosystem for the benefit of entrepreneurs, fund managers, institutional investors and to increase the output of innovative and high-growth potential companies in Estonian economy. EstVCA has 20 members and 25 associate members. Combined assets under the management of the private equity and venture capital houses that are member of the association amount to nearly two billion euros.
