Jurmala city council collects EUR 2.91 million in vehicle entry fees

RIGA – Jurmala city council this year collected EUR 2.91 million in vehicle entry fees, the local government’s representative Zane Leite told LETA.

Starting from April until the end of September, 1.24 million one-time passes were purchased, which is by 240,000 more than last year.

The collected money is added to the local government’s budget and used for tourism and resort development, environment protection, protection of cultural monument and ensuring public order and security in the city.

Vehicle entry fees in Jurmala are in force from April 1 to September 30.
