RIGA - Saeima today appointed MP Janis Vitenbergs (KPV LV) as the economics minister today.
Vitenbergs so far was the chairman of the Saeima national economic, rural, environment and regional policy committee and will replace his party member, Ralfs Nemiro, in the position of the economics minister.
Vitenbergs was apppointed to the position with 69 votes to six, while two MPs abstained in the vote.
