Investor Day will be held during the Digital Freedom Festival on November 30th in cooperation with Norvik Banka. It will provide investors, corporates and startups with the opportunity for networking and meeting future cooperation partners. Investor Day will include startup competitions with world-leading accelerator 500 Startups (USA), European investor and mentor collective Rockstart (Netherlands), University of Latvia Student Business Incubator, and EIT Climate-KIC; as well as investor presentations, discussions and speed-dating with investors.

Digital Freedom Festival Co-founder Uldis Leiterts: “This year we have a new feature at the festival - an exclusive Investor Day, where around 150 startup entrepreneurs will meet with investors, who have a combined investment portfolio of more than 1 billion USD. We believe that Latvia is the place for creating world-class ideas that can improve the quality of work and life.”

Attending investors represent such influential names as Techstars, 500 Startups, Buran Venture, Crypto Valley, Starta Ventures, Gil and Karen Delaney Devora from The Floor, Aleks Petrovs from BitfuryCapital, etc. - more than 30 world-class accelerators and risk capital funds.

Norvik Banka Board Chair Oliver Bramwell: “The Digital Freedom Festival success story of the last two years has been bringing together investors, startups and fintech companies, with internationally recognised opinion leaders. We're pleased to be the festival's Official Bank and to participate in the moment of creation for new ideas, interesting discussions and unique products.”

Investor Day Includes Four Startup Pitch Competitions

World-leading accelerator 500 Startups is searching for the best European seed-stage startups in Riga for the third year. Winners will get the opportunity to participate in the final selection round for the next accelerator batch and gain investment worth USD 150 000.

Leading European accelerator Rockstart is holding a competition to find the best new emerging tech startups in the region. Competition winners will have the opportunity to participate in the final selection round for the Rockstart programme in the Netherlands.

The EIT Climate-KIC accelerator, one of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) climate science and innovation Climate KIC initiatives, will evaluate startups in a pitch competition. They're looking for businesses, which have chosen to solve climate change problems by promoting the development of environmentally friendly technology solutions.

In turn, the UL Student Business Incubator is organising a startup pitch competition for businesses exploring blockchain technology solutions. They're creating the opportunity for students to excel in entrepreneurship.

Speed-Dating With Investors

Investor Day will close with investor speed-dating. This is a popular way to operatively establish contact and form no only a private, but also professional relationship. Startup pairs will have a few minutes of face-to-face time to meet investors, who are interested in a specific startup sector.

Investor Day is open to all Digital Freedom Festival startup and investor pass holders. Find out more about the festival and ticketing at www.digitalfreedomfestival.com.
