International music incubator Novus is looking for new talents

LITHUANIA - This summer will be full of great music discoveries! Art Factory Loftas (Vilnius, Lithuania) promises an impressive summer experience and is now open for the up and coming band applications to participate in the international band competition Music Incubator Novus.

Music Incubator Novus is an international young bands competition and is held for four straight years at Art Factory Loftas. The project encourages to participate bands of any music genre.

Novus is looking for the most exciting acts from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. This year’s competition will be held in June-July at Art Factory Loftas summer terrace supported by Lithuania’s national radio “LRT Opus” and television.

One of the most original and popular music venues in Vilnius, Loftas has held more than 800 events (more than 300 of them organized by the team of Loftas themselves), having welcomed such successful world-wide music acts as Nicolas Jaar, Moderat, Ellie Goulding, Fink and many more.

The project is seeking not only to discover, but also to encourage the most promising music talents. By searching for new talents, this competition provides the opportunity to perform on a professional scene to be heard by new audiences and music industry professionals.

Goda Pereckaite, the organizer of the project, is pleased that every year more and more promising young bands come to Novus. “Every year is like a new discovery for us, the bands, our audience and people from the music industry. The upcoming summer will be exciting, as the music incubator Novus will take place for two months: June and July. We cannot wait to see what this year’s competition has to offer”, –  says Goda Pereckaite.

At the end of the Music Incubator Novus the best band will be presented with an impressive package of prizes: a video clip, a song recording, winners will be given the opportunity to perform at the “Loftas Fest” 2019 Festival and many more.

The most promising bands will be invited to support Loftas musical stars and will have the opportunity to play in Palanga on LRT Opus stage during I Love Palanga Summer Session.

Last year top three places were taken by very exiting bands: Lithuanians “Kedrostuburas” – first place, Latvian artist “MNTHA” – second place and Lithuanians “Elnio Rago Miškas” – third place.

Fourth year in a row Novus competition will be hosted by “ba.” band leader Benas Aleksandravicius.
