Instrumenti wins Best Album award at Zelta Mikrofons annual awards ceremony

RIGA - Electronic music band Instrumenti took the Album of the Year award at the 2019 Zelta Mikrofons annual Latvian music recordings awards ceremony on Tuesday night for their recording Atkala (Freezing Rain), while Dons and Ozols' song Salauzta Sirds (Broken Heart) won the Song of the Year award, the award ceremony organizers' representative Ilze Plesa informed LETA.

Instrumenti's Atkala also won the Pop Music Album of the Year award and Dons and Ozols - the Radio Hit award. Ozols' album Neona Pilseta (Neon City) also collected the Best Hip Hop Album award.

Video for BrainStorm's song Ogles (Coals) was honored as the best music video. Evija Vebere's album Sirdsbut took the Best Alternative or Indie Music Album award, and Velns Vinu Zin band's recording Posts - the Best Rock or Metal Album award.

Martins Brauns, the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award, also won the Best Classical Music Album award together with Latvian Radio Choir and Sigvards Klava for their recording Martins Brauns. Daugava, and Polifauna band won the Best Debut Album award for their album You Look Like a Lost Soul.
