Infection with coronavirus staying at low level in Estonia in recent days

TALLINN - The numbers of new coronavirus infection cases have continued to be low in Estonia in recent days, the Health Board said on Tuesday evening.

One new case of infection was registered on Monday, which brought to 2,022 the total number of cases diagnosed in Estonia to date.

The number of tests taken on Monday was 408, bringing the total number of tests since the start of the spread of the virus to 114,942. 

Four people were treated in hospital for COVID-19 on Monday. In total 392 coronavirus patients have been discharged from hospital and 69 people diagnosed with the virus have died. 

No new infection cases were registered by the Health Board on July 19 and 18. On July 17, one person was diagnosed with the virus.

The Health Board described small numbers of new coronavirus cases as the overall trend of recent days.
