If P&C Insurance AS expands its reach to 4.5 million customers following Topdanmark integration

As of 1 July 2025, Denmark’s second-largest insurance company, Topdanmark, has been integrated into If P&C Insurance AS. With this step, investments in digitalisation and IT development are planned over the next five years. The new structure combines nearly 10 000 employees in the Baltics, Scandinavia and Asia, including approximately 1500 IT professionals, of whom around 400 work at the If Insurance offices in Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn.

If P&C Insurance AS plans to make technological changes by developing and modernising digital systems, as well as strengthening its technological infrastructure to make insurance even more convenient and accessible online. By 2028, synergies from the Topdanmark integration are expected to yield benefits of up to 140 million euros, mainly due to digital modernisation. The company's goal is to meet 80% of all customer needs online, while still providing personal support when necessary.

If Insurance tech community operates with distributed teams across different countries, and IT specialists from the Baltic countries have been – and will continue to be – actively involved in the integration and digitalisation processes of Topdanmark. In cooperation with colleagues in Denmark and elsewhere in the region, local teams contributed to providing the technological foundation for the combined organisation – including system integration, secure data migration and the creation of a unified IT environment.

As a result of this integration, If P&C Insurance AS has become the largest insurance company in Scandinavia. Together with the Baltic region If now serves 4.5 million customers.
