RIGA - Hungarian Defense Minister Tibor Benko will arrive on an official visit to Latvia today, LETA was informed by the Defense Ministry.
During his visit, Benko will meet with Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks (For Development) to discuss current and future defense cooperation, as well as international and regional security matters.
While in Latvia, the Hungarian defense minister will also lay a wreath at the monument to Oskars Kalpaks, as well as meet with the head of the NATO Center of Communications Excellence Janis Sarts.
He will also visit the monument to the memory of female Hungarian Jews at the Jewish Cemetery in Riga.
According to the ministry, Hungary contributes greatly to strengthening regional security by participating in the NATO air patrol mission over Baltic skies.
