Head of Dobele Region Council's procurement commission detained for taking bribes

The Corruption Prevention Bureau has detained Laila Sereiko, head of Dobele Region Council's procurement commission, on suspicion of accepting bribes offered by Madars Radzelis, the owner of a construction company. On July 15, the Corruption Prevention Bureau started a criminal case after establishing that Sereiko possibly accepted bribes from road construction company Igate in January-July this year, and in turn helped the company in procurement tenders organized in Dobele Region.
