Ülemiste Centre has recognised its most successful tenants. The lingerie store Change Lingerie was recognised as the best one overall. The victory was attributed to excellent service monitoring results and increased turnover. A special award from the centre was given to the trampoline complex Trampolino.
According to Guido Pärnits, Director of Ülemiste Centre, it is especially important to support tenant motivation during challenging times. “Every shopping centre should pay attention to its tenants and appreciate their contribution, as this ultimately reflects on customer satisfaction and the overall success of the centre. Without its stores and service providers, Ülemiste Centre would not be the most popular shopping destination for Tallinn and Harju County residents – far ahead of its competitors,” said Pärnits.
Points in the best store competition accumulate throughout the year, with winners determined based on more than a dozen criteria. The most significant factor is service monitoring results, but other aspects, such as turnover growth, participation in the centre’s campaigns and events, as well as good collaboration with the centre, are also considered. In Ülemiste’s 20th anniversary year, the best store title went to Change Lingerie, which has been renting space in the centre for almost 20 years. Second place went to the trampoline complex Trampolino, while third place was awarded to the jewellery store Given. The awards were presented to the winners at the centre’s traditional New Year’s gala, held for tenants and staff. This year, the event took place in the Noblessner quarter.
Pärnits noted that this year’s top three stood out with strong results across all key categories. “In the case of Change, their consistently high level of customer service and highly active participation in the centre’s campaigns deserve special recognition. Trampolino has demonstrated excellent collaboration with our centre – actively engaging in our events while also organizing their own themed experiences for visitors. Given, on the other hand, stands out with high-quality customer service and attractively designed storefronts,” said Pärnits.
“Winning this competition among more than 200 service providers is a great honour and a significant recognition of the Change Lingerie team’s years of dedication to our mission – offering visitors the best shopping experience,” said Janek Birnbaum, CEO of L'Dolcevita, thanking the centre for organizing the competition. “The New Year’s gala is a key event for our team, traditionally marking the highlight of the year. We have been present in Baltic shopping centres for nearly 20 years, but it is the professional and open leadership of Ülemiste Centre that has created the best atmosphere for cooperation – one of the cornerstones of our success.”
In 2024, Ülemiste Centre celebrated its 20th anniversary, marking the occasion by presenting, for the first time, a special anniversary award – The Best of Ülemiste 2024, which was given to the new laser tag centre at Trampolino. “Trampolino is a great example of how entertainment is an essential part of a modern shopping centre. Trampolino is a reliable partner that provides families with quality leisure activities and opportunities for active recreation,” explained Pärnits, emphasizing the importance of entertainment.
“The Best of Ülemiste award is a great honour for us. It confirms that we are on the right track. We are committed to developing the entertainment sector at Ülemiste Centre while continuing to provide high-quality service,” said Toomas Kaares, owner of Trampolino, adding that new challenges and more fun lie ahead. “We are planning to introduce bowling, an interactive quiz game, and many other entertainment options for visitors of all ages.”
