RIGA - The government on Tuesday decided to extend the term of Janis Sarts in the office of the director of the NATO Centre of Excellence for Strategic Communications (Stratcom).
Sarts had previously agreed to continue as Director for the next rotating term - until August 31, 2027.
The Defense Ministry considers that Sarts should continue his work in the office. Sarts' performance as the director has been appreciated and has been recognized by the NATO Allied Command Transformation assessments.
