Government approves post-Brexit deal reached by EU and UK

RIGA - The government at an extraordinary sitting on Monday approved the post-Brexit deal reached between the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom. At the Cabinet meeting, ministers approved Latvia's position on the agreement that will regulate future relations between the EU and the UK.  The Foreign Ministry, which drafted Latvia's position, welcomed the agreement reached by the EU and the UK on post-Brexit relations after the expiry of the transition period on December 31, 2020.
