The government at a closed sitting today passed a bill on an intergovernmental agreement providing for defense cooperation between Latvia and the United States. The text of the agreement has not been made public. The Defense Ministry will be coordinating the implementation of the agreement under the bill. The draft legislation has yet to be approved by Saeima, Latvian Parliament.
