Goran Bregovic will perform in Jurmala on August 11

On August 11, within the framework of the festival “Summertime – Inese Galante & Friends”, the temperamental and charismatic, world-famous and beloved Balkan musician Goran Bregovic will perform in Jurmala. Four years later, the fiery Balkan rock'n'roll from Emir Kusturica’s directed movies will once again make all – big and small – concert goers to dance at the concert hall “Dzintari”.

Goran Bregovic – the world's most famous Balkan musician and composer, author of the music for several films directed by Emir Kusturica. Because of his talent, artistry and charisma, Bregovic is attracting listeners all over the world – performing on the stage as if carelessly, demonstrating unspeakable magic of his music and creating associations with the gypsy ethnos and Balkan traditions, making all listeners to dance – adults and children, irrespective of their age, status and nationality. At the concert hall “Dzintari” listeners will hear a combination of fiery Balkan rhythm and gypsy motives together with a play of wind instruments, saturated with contemporary base and beats.

Over the past 10 years, Goran Bregovic with his "Wedding and Funeral Orchestra" has performed from one hundred to hundred and fifty concerts around the world, featuring traditional Balkan, gypsy and Bulgarian music.

The concert schedule of Goran Bregovic is filled for years ahead. In Latvia the artist is a rare guest, however four years ago he already performed for the festival’s “Summertime – Inese Galante & Friends” 10-year anniversary, earning a recognition and love accompanied with ovations from Jurmala’s audience. G. Bregovic’s performance will therefore be a pleasure for musician’s talent admires. None of the listeners will remain indifferent for the emotional performance of Bregovic and those positive emotions will remain in the memory of the concert guests for a long time – remembering the summer of 2018 in Jurmala.
