Fuel prices in the Baltics moved in different directions over the past week

TALLINN - Fuel prices fell in Vilnius over the past week, while moving in different directions in Tallinn and Riga, according to a price comparison of the Baltic capitals by Circle K.

In Tallinn, the price of 95-octane 'miles' gasoline increased by one cent per liter, the price of 98-octane 'miles plus' gasoline remained at the same level as the previous Friday, and the price of diesel fuel fell by seven cents. In Riga, both grades of gasoline became 3.3 cents cheaper, while the price of diesel rose by 2.5 cents. In Vilnius, gasoline prices dropped by eight cents and diesel by nine cents compared to a week earlier.

On Friday, 95-octane 'miles' gasoline cost 1.959 euros per liter in the Estonian capital, making it 2.7 cents more expensive than in Riga and 5 cents more expensive than in Vilnius. The price for 98-octane 'miles plus' gasoline in Tallinn stood at 2.019 euros per liter, 1.7 cents higher than in Riga and 1.1 cents higher than in Vilnius. Meanwhile, diesel fuel in Tallinn was priced at 2.059 euros per liter, which was 3.1 cents cheaper than in Riga and 14 cents cheaper than in Vilnius.
