The closing event of the 12th Annual Conference of the European Society of International Law (ESIL) in Riga has brought Jean-Marc Sauve, vice-president of the French Council of State, to the region. He was also involved in the conference’s closing discussion with Latvian Constitutional Court Judge and RGSL Professor Ineta Ziemele. During his public lecture, Sauve emphasised what he considers to be the primary causes behind the current international crises. He stressed the growing role of lawyers, academics, and judges in resolving crisis situations worldwide.
