At the moment, anti-tank trenches totaling approximately 27 kilometers in length are being dug in Aluksne, Balvi, Ludza, Kraslava, and Augsdaugava municipalities, and areas for storing equipment and supplies are being established.

The project, supervised by the Defense Ministry, commenced in September.

As reported, VNI has signed contracts with five companies to carry out the top-priority work on the construction of the anti-mobility infrastructure for the Baltic Defense Line.

The total investment for the project’s first-priority works is EUR 12.98 million from the Ministry of Defense’s budget.
