RIGA - For more than a month, Latvia has been under intense Russia's cyber attack from multiple vectors, Janis Sarts, head of the Riga-based NATO Strategic Communication Center of Excellence (Stratcom CoE), said on Twitter.

According to Sarts, the attack "has gone very much under the radar because Latvia's cyber infrastructure has shown remarkable resilience in face of the adversary".

"Hat off to the cyber defenders!" the Stratcom CoE director tweeted.

Last week for instance, intense distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks targeted the official website of the Latvian president's office www.president.lv, and the Estonian president's website came under similar cyberattacks.
