RIGA - For Development's priorities in the 2021 budget talks will be healthcare and raising salaries for medics, the chairman of the Saeima's Budget, Finance and Tax Committee Martins Bondars (For Development) told LETA.
He stressed that politicians have owed years of increased funding for healthcare to improve access to services for patients and improve the healthcare system as a whole. Bondars pointed out that increasing the salaries of medics is important because of the current shortage of healthcare workers, especially nurses.
