RIGA - Meridian Capital, the financial partner of the Latvian dairy and milk processing company Food Union, will acquire one of the largest dairy producers in Latvia Rigas Piensaimnieks, in order to merge both companies, “Food Union” spokeswoman Linda Mezgaile informed LETA.
The merger requires a clearance by the Competition Council of Latvia. No exact timeline for closing is being estimated at this stage and no financial terms of the transaction will be released, as they constitute commercially confidential information, says Mezgaile
