RIGA - Food prices will keep climbing in in the next coming months, Inguna Gulbe from the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics said on Latvian Radio Friday.
"One should not think that the price hikes will go on forever, but they will continue in the next coming months," Gulbe said, adding that prices usually drop after climbing for some time.
Gulbe indicated that the price hikes have affected all groups of products because production costs have increased.
The expert also noted that the food prices should stop climbing at some point as the prices of some resources are no longer showing the upward trend.
