The main factor with consumer price changes in May was the rise of food prices. Increase has been noted for nearly all food products, but the most rapid increase has been noted for fresh fish, milk, oils and vegetables – their prices rose 23.9%, 14.3%, 13.4% and 6%, as reported by the Finance Ministry.
The ministry also notes that food prices were 5% more expensive in May when compared to the same month of last year.
