RIGA - Five largest government social partners - the Latvian Employers' Confederation (LDDK), the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK), the Latvian Association of Free Trade Unions (LBAS), the Latvian Academy of Science (LZA) and the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments (LPS) - signed a memorandum on coordinating actions in order to promote the country's economic growth, LETA learned from LTRK.
The memorandum stipulates coordination of action and a united stance in negotiations with public administration.
The memorandum was signed by LBAS chairman Egils baldzens, LPS chairman Gints Kaminskis, LZA president Ivars Kalvins, LDDK president Andris Bite and LTRK president Aigars Rostovskis.
LTRK explained that decision on the country's further development will be made by new Saeima lawmakers and the new Cabinet of Ministers after the elections this fall. The memorandum is an open document and all political parties will be invited to sign it. This will show they political will to cooperate with the five organizations and engage them in decision making.
